Sintex Industries surged 4.26% to Rs 271.85. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Exide Industries moved up 3.90% to Rs 114.45 on reports the company plans to mobilize around Rs 539.50 crore by selling five crore-equity shares to qualified institutional buyers. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Jain Irrigation Systems gained 3.13% to Rs 962.80. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock hit a record high of Rs 976.85 in intra-day trade today, 9 March 2010.

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services rose 2.92% to Rs 368.30. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
